Deborah - “my new found confidence”
I joined Deborah from her very first steps of running, joining her on early morning runs whilst she completed her couch to 5k and then ran her first 5k with her at a local parkrun.
Deborah was initially very self-conscious about running in public and it was great to see her confidence grow as she completed her first parkrun and never looked back!
In Deborah’s words : “It was approaching my 50th birthday and wanted to improve my fitness. It took me a long while to build up my confidence to run outside regularly and Tony was so encouraging and reassuring to be alongside on those morning runs, always a calming presence and positive about my progress. I can’t thank him enough for being there as I completed my first parkrun. I’ve carried on doing parkruns and my new found confidence means I also now go regularly to the gym, something I could not have imagined doing a few short months ago”
